The new Conservative candidate for Manchester Withington has pledged to bring further investment to South Manchester if elected in May’s General Election.
Rob Manning was selected by the City of Manchester Conservatives Association.
The Didsbury resident, who is a University of Manchester Law School graduate, said he wants to make a difference for residents in his region.
He stood as Conservative candidate for Didsbury East in the 2014 Manchester City Council elections, and fought to reduce council tax and local business rates and promote further investment across south Manchester.
Rob said: “I’m delighted to be able to fight for local residents in this year’s General Election. Under the Conservative Party we have seen major promises of economic growth and investment delivered for the city of Manchester over the past five years. There is much more that the Conservatives can deliver for the city, and I look forward to making the case for Conservative representation for Withington and a Conservative government”.
Chairman of the City of Manchester Conservatives said: “I’m very pleased to see Rob selected to contest Manchester Withington in this year’s General Election. Rob is an experienced and passionate campaigner who will make an exemplary representative for his local area in Parliament”.
